John Hopkins To Make US Superbike Return on M4 Suzuki
by dean adams
Thursday, January 14, 2010

American John Hopkins will test a Chris Ulrich M4 Suzuki Superbike at Fontana soon and it sounds like the ex-MotoGP and WSBK rider will return to the team that gave him his start for the 2010 season.

Wait until he see's how F-uped the series is since he left.

Is this like being "sent down" (to the minor leagues, that is)?

No it's like staying employed. The song is almost up and alot of riders are looking for seats. Good luck Hopper!

He took the money. He could have worked for free in GP or taken a school teacher salary in WSBK, but M4 is funded and well run. They can pay the riders poper.

So it's him and Cardenas right, that otta to give the factorys some trouble if theres any left. Always thought Ulrich moved him to quickly into the big leagues. Imo Hopper should have stayed and won the Superbike class a few times before moving on.

+100 to what he sez.

Hopkins has had about the worst damn run of luck the last 7-8 years; just crash after crash. I greatly admire his spirit. Perhaps he is not MotoGP Champ material as some say - but his heart seems (to me) to truly be in it. And sometimes, that's more important than raw talent and blind luck.

You Go, Man!
