Congratulations to Ben Spies - 2009 World Superbike Champion.
I'd like to see him defend his title for at least one year. Oh well.... hope he does great in MotoGP! |

My stupid cat woke me up at 4:00 am today...he's a sadist. So I flipped on Speed to find the last race of the season underway. Apparently Haga crashed out in the 1st race, and all Spies had to do was finish better than 6th to win the championship. Which he did nicely.
What a terrific rider he is...all season long I've admired his attitude, grace under pressure, sportsmanship. When that idiot crashed him out a few races back he almost lost it, but then reeled it in and went on about his business. The commentators said he was off to Moto GP next year. I'd like nothing better than to see him wax Valentinorola's ass. GO SPIES!!!! Congrats to Yamaha for winning the manufactures title. As much as I like Ducati, it's nice to see some diversity on the podium. Too bad Suzook was so uncompetitive this year. Next year is the year of BUELL!! USA! USA!! USA!!!
