Ohh how very cool and original. Perhaps the newspaper reporter found comfort in the fact that the skull was wearing a helmet.

Guess they just couldn't wait to get there for the:
"birthday bash and a weekend demolition derby" About 24 bikes crashed in Fort Lauderdale in the mid '90's under similar circumstances. There's a tunnel under the New River in downtown Ft. Lauderdale along US 1. "Bikers" love to gun their engines through the tunnel; of course it's insanely loud. One Saturday night a group ride coming up from Miami went through the tunnel, but just past the exit there was a minor car wreck. Of course you're completely blind coming up the steep tunnel exit, so the bikes just pile into one another. The word was that only 3 in the group escaped without crashing.

Might want to add "learning to ride" "scanning ahead" and "situational awareness" to the whole building choppers and riding fast thing...........
