He didn't look to healthy yesterday when Spies was wiping the track with him the last three laps. In fact, he looked like one sick pup in the post-race interview. I was waiting for him to say: "I was dishonored today" and then plunge a chainguard into his stomach.
I didn't know much about Spies before this year, but I have to say he is an impressive rider. He let Haga think he would be able to pass him anytime during the second 1/2 of the race; then with 3 to go, he just rode away. He's got class too; didn't act like a smug a-hole like Vallentiny when he won.
