1) Desktop background. Thanks, Ace.

2) You know how we always say it's crazy to push a fast bike to it's limits on the street? Well, these guys do it for fun, and just because there aren't any cars doesn't diminish their insanity in my book. A few hay bales does not a safe course make.

3) Going to IOM to see this in person is on my bucket list. I'll definitely ride this course balls out (on a bicycle). Anybody been?

Remember that this is more like endurance race than a traditional 100 km 45 min shootout. Those guys that race TT are in races like Suzuka and such that are usually a minimum of 4 hours.
If you check the sanctioned motorcycle endurance races around the world you will find many IOM TT riders.

I'v been following the Isle for about 19years I think I'v heard of a few riders that have ridden their, exclusively? Besides the endurance racing orgs, their are no riders that race wsbk, ama, motogp that visit the isle for competition.
My statment is reserved for guys today who dominate wsbk, motogp.

I went to IOM in '89. Best time ever. Mad Sunday is crazy. I was passed by a Formula 2 car in the mountains.

Go before you die.

The craziest street racing I'v ever seen is from the Irish roadrace championship. It looks like those guys are racing on sidwalks with curbs. Even seen races held in the rain, totally insane imo. Having the extra runoff promotes higher speeds and the ability to push alot harder. Most of these street racers although they are professionals, still dont run as hard as if they were on a track with run-off.
