Default So how come no wild card for Mladin?

Couldn't Suzuki whip up a bike for Mladin to ride like Zemke and Hacking?

Think maybe Matt didn't want to mix it up with that group? Better to be Kramer in the karate class with 5 year olds?

"Better to be Kramer in the karate class with 5 year olds?"

Maybe his ego won't let him? Just a guess.

Yosh didn't want to field a AMA superbike against the WSBK bikes. It'd be down some 20hp. Really, privateer's have an easier time prepping a wild-card than Yosh would have. All they have to do is race for a finish. Yosh would have to race for a top 5 to be considered a success. Jamie's Kawi sub situation was pretty cool. Raced to a 7th- could have had a top 5 if not for the red flag. Scassa screwed him in race 2.

Hacking was a wild man! He was all over the place. He needed knobbies on that thing.

He got punted twice. If you look at race 1 he was racing like a "real" WSBK rider. Making that Kawi do things it hasn't done in years in WSBK. If Kawi were thinking they would put him on a Paul Bird bike full-time. Imagine how next season could be if Ben, Jamie and Blake Young all raced. Ben will race one more season in WSBK for sure- He wants the title and to defend it. Jamie could put Kawi on the box consistantly. And Blake racing an Alstare Suzuki could only help them. Yukio is alright, but Blake is younger and has shown he's got the learning curve down in superbike.

Suzuki would have to build two completely different bikes. I read in CN that would not be their only expense. $5451 for the Pirelli control tires
and a 2200.00 dollar entry fee. Remember though Zemke's ride is on an existing team Stiggy Honda. As for Hacker I dont believe they had to build it spesificlly for him. Besides I bet MM was sweating bullets and trying to dodge it.

Cool

Zemke is replacing Hopkins, and Hacking was replacing Tamada. Mladin would not be replacing anyone just entering.

Mladin will be replacing God after he retires from racing. At least that's what HE thinks.

Not God! Just St Pete- He'll judge who walks through the gates.
