Do you have a gray ponytail?

"Only the ones who judge others cause they think they are above ever one else?...Sound familiar."

Very familiar. I feel that way because I am above everyone else. No brag, just fact.

I did use the appropriate tools. However, while I was working on it, I kept thinking, "I really should own a torque wrench." I've heard it said before that your're not a "real man" (or woman - Sachi) unless you own a torque wrench. I went out and bought a vernier caliper instead.

No ponytail. But judging by my grandfather, I might look like Friar Tuck in about 15 years.

REAL mechanics just count the "BRAAP!"s on their air-impact driver to arrive at the proper torque.........

I'm working with my buddy Walt who is one of those guys that can weld or fabricate anything, and has mucho knowledge of the ways of old, old Harleys. I told him that I don't care if this build takes 6 months or 6 years, I am going to do it right. It will look like a period bobber with maybe a few modern wrinkles thrown in. It will be a jockey with rocker clutch, so that has been decided already. I will post pics of the build to show how it's going and the things I find along the way.

I'd put a straight linkage and clutch pedal myself that way it's in or out, just shift into neutral at every stop. Rockers are fine until they pop and launch you into traffic.
