it's just PMA, I'm the same way. I mean honestly what do I have to cry about? I've pretty well Forrest Gump'd my way through life and generally had a ball, when I see these people walking around looking like they just ate a bug I just want to slap them and send them to Pakistan or some other sh*t hole. maybe they'll learn to appreciate what they have for a change.

I used to go the Lincoln Park (LA) 1/4 mile d-shaped track speedway races in 49. I got to see Manuel Trujillo and, if I remember right, the Milne bros and Lammy Lamereaux a couple of times. Everyone rode JAPs (4 or 5 stud). You remembered the burned castor oil a long time. I was 16 years old. I rode Lincoln Park once in 52 on a Harley K-model. The back stretch was curved so you slid everywhere except the front straight.

TS, my dad sponsored the Bast Brothers back in the early 70's and I could sneak into the pits and check out all the machinery, some die hards still rode J.A.P.s but most were mounted on Jawas. I remember the bean oil pre-heaters for the total loss system on the speedeway bikes, guess bean oil doesn't lubricate too good when it's cold.

Ahh, the smell of bean oil in the morning...I lived real close to Francisco Labs on Hyperion avenue in A****er, use to buy moon gas for my mini bike from old lady Francisco herself. Now the place is an "alternative lifestyle" bar and ham lancing emplorium. Sad.

Default Francisco castor oil

I always used Francisco castor oil in my drag bike. I still had a can until I gave it away about a year ago to a friend that owned an automotive museum in San Francisco.
