I've sent your link and qustion to: http://www.americansportbike.com/contact.htm

These folks sell all kinds of Buell parts, perhaps they can tell us where to look for this one. I'll update you when I hear back from them.

Yes, it is to planetbuell.com ( they only did the design and tuning work), but they didn't produce the part... Rizoma ( European aftermarket ) supposedly produced the part; but I couldn't find it on their website ( http://www.rizoma.com/ ). If anyone wants more pictures of this very sick bike let me know and I'll put some more online. I am going to try to contact them via their website and inquire about the part, I'll be sure to relay what they tell me on here. Thanks Sean for posting this...

Got the visor for the helmet in earlier in the week... and got the helmet in yesterday. This is what they look like together. Let me know what you's think.

Are you talking about the aluminum strip around the tire?

You can find this part in rough condition at your local harware store. It's an aluminum strip about 1/8" thick. They come in 1", 1.5" and 2" widths for about a buck a foot.

Step 1. Bend it over the rear tire to shape it.

Step 2. Cut it to fit.

Step 3. Drill holes in it for mounting and whatever silly design you want.

Step 4. Sand it with 600 grit wet sandpaper.

Step 5. Polish it using an aluminum polish and elbow grease until it shines like chrome.

Step 6. Mount it with the nice chrome nuts and bolts, you'll find near where the aluminum strips were kept.

Step 7. Step back and admire your handywork.

I'm in germany so finding all of these things is a little more difficult than driving to my neighborhood friendly True Value, or Home Depot / Lowes. But I'll look for something similiar.

Try the local German hardware store equivalent, or a local machine shop. That's wwhere I used to get my working stock. The Ramstein Auto Crafts Center used to have a good stock of metalworking tools.

Of course my information is six years old.
