Cant wait to see how serious the BMW boys are going to take this wsbk
thing, with Corser in the saddle it should be good.

Does it matter? Even if BMW does well in WSBK the Big4 will still take the lion's share of the retail market because even if the BMW were better it wouldn't be $5000 better.

There's an awful lot of BMW owners for whom value isn't an issue.

True, but that's the GS/R/LT, etc demographic. Notice that the new 650X series is gathering dust as are the new K12 chain drives. BMW is going after the performance bike demographic here. Good luck selling to them. Most will buy the R1/KZ/CBR/GSX and spend the difference on upgrades.

No, I was watching MotoGP Racing, then AMA, then The Wife and I decided to go get some icecream.

Has anybody heard about the Rulechange for next year yet?

From what I understand it's been decided that there will be a single supplier. Ducati offered to switch to Michelin but couldn't come up with 3 other bikes to go with them that was required. I believe the deciscion will be made on the 18th of October as to who it will be.

So it looks to me that the mad rush to Bridgestone is what has undone the current rule, just 3 more bikes. So lets see Michelin dropped the ball for 2 years out of how many and it leads to this. Jir is out of MotoGp as well. Scott goes on without them.

The explaination can be found on Roadrace World.

I tried to find were I read the Michelin Ducati story but haven't been able to find it again.
