Speed kills. RIP, at least he went out doing what he loved. Hope others can say that about me when my time comes. But with my luck they'll find me slumped off the cr@pper, drawers around my ankles...

I found way too many people like that at working at the FD. I'd rather go out like this dude.

My Buddies at Hairball Racing (200 mph club) said this guys crash was horrific, the streamliner went sideways on a soft patch of salt, and then got airborne and did the endo deal, then rolled about 100 times and was smashed up into a little ball of aluminum and fiberglass. Like hyrdo drag boat racing, when the land speed record guys eat it, they sometimes eat it big.

A buddy of mine works for Oakland FD, says the same thing. That and quite a few old dudes with a porn mag in their hand and something else in the other.

There's some pretty nasty ways to check out alright like being trapped in an air tight compartment on a sunken ship or having all your exit routes smashed and on fire or laying in a cancer ward while your guts slowly rot away...Nasty business. I figure whatever it is I ain't going to like it much but it comes to us all sooner or later. Hopefully I'll be able to show a little dignity and class.

And for those that can't handle any of the above, there is always Dr. Kevorkian!

Give me the old rear-ended by an SUV every time. You don't feel a thing. I wonder if your bike gets to go with you?

Only if it's buried next to your sarcophagus.
