Hey! Where can I get ME one O' them "Beer Helmets" like in the ad?

Seriously tho - I've already heard some of the ads on the few occasions when I had the radio on when I was changin' CDs in the Bullitt.

I don't believe they will be effective. It's worth a try, but I think they're just wasting money they could be giving to Police to harass typical "commuter riders" for going 3-mph-over in a 55-zone. They're gonna have to give 'em SOME money for tires and gas anyway, if they keep up with the tire-smokin', full-throttle, high-speed U-turns when they're comin' to pull you over to "give you a warning"....................

As usual the numbers are given without regard to the corresponding increase in motorcycle registrations. The last time I checked some statistics in a similar article, the number of deaths as a percentage of registered bikes had decreased. I guess that's not interesting data.

In a related topic, Klazy Ken Inc. is about to announce their new dash-mounted ram-air helmet bong. Equipped with a 12vdc ignition system, the Helmet Bong will have a user controlled air intake that mounts on the windshield. Suggested retail will be under $150.00.

Default Well they didn't kill me...

...'cause I'm too tough to die.

And Toolman is sending my 1970 Go Devil minibike via UPS, so I should be back in the wind in a week or so.

Matt, how are you going to ride that bad boy? I guess I'm wondering; if you can ride that, why not a motorcycle? Is it the seat height?

Well, it's got a torque converter, which means no shifting, and a hand brake that operates the rear brake, and floorboards like a scooter. That's why. Just have to figure out how to stop and not fall over....

The SuperBikes TeeVee show had a segment about a guy in your situation who had a bike rigged with a setup to drop "landing gear" on his new bike. I was thinking about you when it was on. I'll try to get some info on the details next time it's on.

Didn't this all have something to do with a cat or a teenager?

NHTSA - The place where bureaucrats develop nice insurance industry retirement jobs. The revolving door is just as active as the FDA/Drug Company door and the DOD/Contractor door. The NHTSA is the IIHS's running dog.
