OK I'm in. Next stop Google.

I've emailed asking for more info. There is a write up available thru SAE, didn't look to see how much that would cost. Web site struck me as vague and general. Hey it's just a first impression. Remember the add on kits for cars when they came out? Fuel injection based on 1 sensor. Well maybe I'll have to check out that SAE paper after all.

The Chinese government, faced with international criticism for the high levels of air pollution in its capital city, implemented several policies to reduce pollution for the 2008 Olympics.
And after that, it'll be back to "bidness as usual"...........

I read someplace that a large percentage of the Smog that has re-developed in L.A. and other Kalifornicatia cities is actually "tramp pollution-emissions" that has made its way across the Pacific.

Of course, being that the West Coast cities are susceptible to "catching and holding" air-pollution due to terrain and weather patterns, it's apparently gotten nearly as bad in the last 5-8 years as it ever was back in the '60s and '70s. And it's not even due to US motorists this time.............

Their website says specifically that they are not doing aftermarket kits at this time.

"Freescale's advanced microcontroller technology enables us to build highly efficient fuel injection systems that can replace carburetors without losing performance or significantly impacting the price of motorcycles.”

Yeah, but can you fix it with a pair of vice-grips and a screwdriver? Didn't think so.

Google "MegaSquirt".

The Original "Electronic Carburetor". All the rest are pretenders and Johnny-come-lately's...........

And it works, I worked on that project in the beginning.

That is all.

An "open source" EFI based on a Motorola 68000 series processor? How interesting, the electromechanical equivalent of Linux?
