I'm not going.... going on a tour on the Wing instead... but if anyone is interested the weather is going to be pretty good. Temperatures forecast in the 80's vs the usual 100+.

And there are all those neat new trees to feel good about. As long as you don't think about how much water it takes to keep trees alive in the desert.

I'm sure during your tour you will be tortured not knowing if Spies or Mladin wins. Of course, if either one crashes they will red flag the race to make sure the other isn't too far behind.

at the big pitcher brah, more trees is good, just like more plug in 'lectric cars is good..that's all you need to worry about.

Depends on the trees of course. You see plenty of Palos Verdes out in the Sonora, for example. There are some other drought resistant species as well that could probably do well up by Miller.

You're right but they didn't plant those. They planted trees that need irrigation.

The Sportspark is placed dab in a place where nothing ever grew but some scraggly prairie grass and a few stunted cactus. It's not far from the Dugway US Army Storage Depot for nerve gas and germ bombs. Just over the hill from the park you can see the incinerator where they burn the soil dug from the bunkers where the old leaky mustard gas shells from WWI were stored. Environmental friendliness in that area is about as ironic as one can get.

'Course I forgot that the USA is an irony-free zone now.

Colorado's Bolder Motorsports was expected to have Australian Marty 'Mad Eyes' Craggill racing a 1098R here at Utah this weekend. They do have a nice big transporter sitting in the Miller paddock and presumably the bikes are here in Utah as well. Moreover, Craggill has indeed been sighted.

However, the Ducatis won't turn a wheel this weekend.

Homologation issues are at the root of the problem. At the moment the Ducati isn't homologated to race in US Superbike."

Straight from Soup- I knew there was a reason no one had a 1098 ready in AMA this year. The weight rule has not been sorted out on the bike.
