Finally. A proper American sportbike with a proper engine. I can just see all those people who said they would buy one lining up right now.....

The good part about that line is that you could be first without cutting in front of anyone.

That's because they all went out and bought Buells when the 1125R came out. Remember "I'd buy a Buell in a second if only they got ride of that Dinosaur Sporty mill"?? As soon as the Rotax 1125 motor came out they stormed their local HD/Buell Emporium, bought up every Buell in sight and headed for the hills.....

These guys missed the boat I'm afraid though it looks like a decent effort.

Not that the guy is an engineer and all, but Erik ditched the idea of the V-rod motor because of weight- right? 180hp supercharged sounds cool and all until you compare it to a 1098R. Nice try, but nothing but a toy for the rich. With a 1098R you'll look good everywhere- especially on the track.

The sad part, and one that was predicted by many here, is that it appears that the new Buell 1125 isn't selling any better than the old one, if the one bike my local dealership has is any indication of sales. You need to blow the dust off the thing before you sit on it.

Re the Buell 1125R, did they every get the steering radius fixed? As a person who owned one, having to do 8point turns just to get out of the driveway was irritating enough. Gee, 180 horses out of a stoopercharged V-Twin...sounds real reliable. Ooops, it's the ATF bangin' on the door again, hide the fixins!

Having just ridden one, I'd say it's a pretty nice bike.

I can't say I've seen a line of internet posters out the door at the dealer either. I guess a liquid-cooled DOHC Rotax Vtwin isn't a "proper motor."

I don't doubt it is nice. It's just that all the blowhards that wouldn't buy a Buell unless they changed the motor haven't stepped up to the plate IMO. The old one was at least unique, but this one, to me, really isn't. With the new design they are saying they can compete with price/performance against anything out there. Is that true Buz, or do we have to wait?

I pretty much agree with every thing you said. I would say 'Best post here' or 'Excellent use of facts/data', but I'm not going to.
