Check List for relaunch: 1- release the same bike no one bought in 2003. 2- hope no one notices. 3- build hype based on nothing. 4- close doors and let Indian die a peaceful death.

When Dave Wright was in charge of this re-launch I had a 2 hr conversation with him about all the mistakes the CMC factory made when they re-launched. Well, Dave moved on (or was forced out) and things look exactly like I predicted if he or his bosses didn't listen to people that bought the bikes in the first place. Sorry Indian- RIP is the easiest way out.

It was made by Kawasaki and called the Drifter. If I wanted a bike that looked like a classic Indian I'd buy one of those. I certainly wouldn't toss 20 large on a Harley clone or even a Harley. Well actually if I wanted to spend 20K on a bike it'd be one of them there high end Ducks.

Never mind.

Who needs Indian when you can have a Chang Jiang, the next big thing...30's technology covered with 2007's lead based paint. Just don't tell it to Mattel.

If I was going to take a plunge into the deep end of questionable reliability and parts availability I'd by a Ural Patrol and use it for Stoli runs...
