I guess since no one has any equity left to pull out of their homes, they can't buy expensive motorcycles anymore.

Sounds like the local dealer is actually going to have to sell motorcycles instead of being order takers.

I wouldn't mind seeing some incentives on a new Geezer Glide or Rocker.

They sell half a million (I'm close-blah!) bikes a year for how many years in a row? I can't understand how people think that a recreational products company can sustain double digit (almost) growth year after year. It's dip time and the HD guys play "business" better than almost eveyone -except Honda, maybe. Last time they corrected production numbers their "stupid" stockholders sold-off in a panic and sued. Remeber the outcome? They raised production 2 quarters later and revenues were still higher than forecasted. Stupid people should not be allowed to play in the stock market. It just mucks it up for the people who get how the game is played.

Evos for cheap sometime soon!

What is it with investors? The slightest blip and they panic. You'd almost think that a large amount of people are so stupid as to have their entire lives leveraged into the stock market. They couldn't be that stupid, could they? (snicker).

Ironically, it is the Hedge Funds who "play the game" that cause most of the market commmotion.

Volatility presents opportunity. If HD stock seriously tanks, I am backing up the truck and buying it. It is down around 2 year lows now. Perhaps it is getting to be time to start circling, mibble and buy a few shares. HOG is on my watch list, that is for sure.

EXACTLY!

Aside from finding Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine and goin' back to 1987 with a fistful of shekels, the time to buy is IMMEDIATELY after any "Market Correction" depresses the stock. I see no way that the "Faithful" would ever let H-D die within my lifetime.

Hawk yer Jap-bikes if you gotta! - buy H-D Stock!

Harley-Davidson has probably been unfairly singled out by the media as overall motorcycle sales turned somewhat sluggish. I'd think that the other major motorcycle manufacturers are also seeing the downturn rather than just Harley.
