Default Should ABS Brakes be Mandatory?

"Motorcycle brake regulations have not kept pace with the advancement of modern technologies. With the improvement of disc brake systems and by incorporating ABS and CBS, modern motorcycles can be equipped with sophisticated and effective braking systems." A joint study by the U.S. and Canadian Government suggests ABS should be standard equipment.

Here is an old article on the shortest distance a rider using a Suzuki Bandit could manage without ABS or CBS?

Um, no. Not any more than ABS should be mandatory on any auto. Cycling takes skill and practice... that's half the fun. You can learn to brake then get off the 2-wheels.

No. And because the jack-off forum software won't let me just say "no", I'll say it again - "no".

Default Why is ABS Important for Police Motorcycles?

"While the technical standard of brake systems, the suspension and tires have most certainly kept up with the increase in engine power in the last 20 years, the human factor has remained the weak point within the brake control system. And while applying the brakes in full on a car is a relatively harmless operation even for the beginner, braking all-out on a motor involves far greater risks." Read More Read more at PoliceOne.com
