Props for the ABS.

The wildly optimistic "claimed" 26hp at 8500rpm from the 250cc single will be less than 20 when tested independently at the rear wheel--if there's a pool, my buck goes on 18. It will struggle to push around a 368lb motorcycle (curb weight w/ ABS) and will be barely capable of safe freeway riding.

It's going to fail in the market, and some will blame it on the ABS. Or on lack of interest in beginner bikes, in spite of the success of the 250 Ninja. But the real reason is that it's going to be pitifully slow.

Yep, it will have trouble competing on outright performance with the Ninja 250, but its motor will have an enviable torque advantage at lower rpm. My pool buck will guess at 22 rwhp, which isn't that far off the Ninja.

I think the WeeBR will find its toughest competition in the price category. It will likely have an MSRP $500-plus over the Ninjette, perhaps even $1000.

NO WAY? Awesome news, and to think all it took was for the market to have the bottom fall out to get these things here. Maybe in ten years America will have some really good riders that start small and then move up. Watch out Kawasaki...

I really like the looks of this bike, and I like the fuel injection. The question is, does it have enough power to merge into traffic after traversing an onramp? If it doesn't will a few aftermarket changes make it so?

At some point I want to add a light ( ~300 lb dry) nicely ergoed bike to my stable. That's either going to be a 2007 or earlier Ninja 250 or a KTM moto or maybe this bike.

Looks fantastic! I'd want the Blue Tri-color which reminds me of the old Hondas back in the 80s. It does seem a hair heavy, given that a fully faired Aprila RS50 curb weight is 250lbs., and the CBR600RR only weighs 410lbs.

The TU250 is slightly underpowered to me, so this may be the ticket.

Excellent, while this bike isn't for me as a primary ride I this direction Honda is pointed in for the US. For me personally I would like to see a bike with similar ergos positioned against the 650r, FZ6r and the GSX650F.
