Are you serious? I really believe the big automakers are falling behind. When I go to China I have friends there who have electric scooters.
How much power you ask? 2 kW Range? 80 miles Top Speed? 50 mph Cost? 800 dollars. I do think electric scooters are a lot better choice than electric motorcycle. Traditional scooters drive more like electric scooters anyway and scooter owners usually aren't into it for the fun but rather to get around cheaply. All the famous motorcycle companies kinda make me laugh. This thing is crap. an 800 dollar Chinese scooter totally beats in in speed, range, price and brakes (hydraulic discs front and back). I guess we'll see how things go. They should look at some Chinese scooters though if they want to increase sales and learn how its done properly. Electric scooters here have existed for 10 years since they banned petrol scooters in cities. |
