I wouldn't have had the restraint. I would've made the teaser, "Lightning Motors Leads the Charge at Bonneville!"

I'd guess the batteries were completely discharged at the end of each run, and the motor probably hot as a firecracker.

Hopefully we'll see some more details 'as they come available.'

Ohm my. I wonder how much resistance the sanctioning body has to rule changes. They need to really amp up this event and induct some more competitors. The reluctance to electric competition needs to be overcome and all impedance to it's expansion ended.

Any chance Motorcycle.Com can get their hands on the bike to run a battery of tests? I would love to know the current state of their technology.

Actually, KD - Can youse guyz get some info on the electric bikes on the Flats? Did they cook the batteries, how many seconds at what kind of power, etc.?

We were planning on it, but mgmt pulled the plug.
