So, what was the sale price? 1/3, 1/5, $1.00?

This goes back to the Aeramacchi days, the Castawhatzit Bros. got Areamacchi back from HD and started Cagiva. Now they have MV Agusta. WTF? See what long bucks can do? Maybe they can buy my Go Devil too.

Sadly, I was a believer in this deal. HD has really got a compass problem with management. What could have been an incredible combination of Italian engineering and Buell innovation has been tossed into the waste basket of motorcycle corporate mistakes. Sad.

Sounds like this was one HELUVA deal for the Castiglioni Family, all the way 'round!

Paid-off $70M in Debt, gave the Family $39M, got new manufacturing equipment for the Factory, then turned it back over Lock, Stock, and Glowing Barrel......

Bet it only Cost Harley an additional $170M - a ****in' Bargain; compared to the ~$460M cost of eviscerating and packaging Buell (which was only $6M "upsided-down" at the time they shot it in the head) for the Stewpot!

Harley-Davidson has the Best Damn Management of any 100+ year-old American Motorcycle Company.......

First, they couldn't sell Buells. Now, they're selling MV Agustas?!

Crafty Italians got HD to shell out all that money and bought it back for a song. So, this would be twice that this has happened, huh?

HD is just "Spreading The Wealth"! It's the Italian Stimulus Package!
