Throttle Cable? Isn't this the 21st-Century? Those bass-ackward Italianos....... - E'en Harley is "throttle by wire" nowadays!

Certain Ducati Multistrada 1200 models may have the wrong screw installed into the steering head. Instead of an M8x28 10.9 screw, some models may be using an M8x25 8.8 screw. The steering head may loosen because the screw is the wrong length and diameter.
Or, because the tensile-strength on an M8.8 is a bit less than an SAE Grade5, while a M10.9 is slightly-higher than an SAE Grade8.

That's OK though: Peterbilt didn't discover that problem when they "Metricised" back in the '80s until after the third Semi-Truck crash......

Looks like Ducati isn't immune to the 1st model year bugaboos.
