I give to the DAV as well. My Father (a Navy Vet of the Vietnam era) considered the DAV as the only people out there that gave a Rat's Ass about the "everyday Vet". Sure as hell the VA don't........

Well with the stroke of a pen GW took away all my medical benefits because I didn't register with the VA. Of course no one told me I had to register with the VA, but that doesn't matter now, because nothing with the VA is retroactive, meaning I'm screwed out of my medical benefits. Thanks GW, hope you get to be in the burning cell next to Hitler when your time comes.

Oh, and I make too much money too, according to the VA, so I called them, and said "I lost my job, the wife divorced me, and I'm living under the 3rd street bridge in downtown LA. Am I elidgable for my medical benes now? At which time the VA lady said "we will have to put you through the review board to see if your case warrants medical coverage."

The nation that re-built its enemies into financial powerhouses can't even take care of its own. How sad.
