Kind of odd the model shows clearly uses a chain drive despite the article claiming a belt final drive?

Probably 'cause the photoshopper didn't have a toothed belt in his file...

Well my friend, NO. `The Deutsche´ had a world-leading motorcycle industry in the 1930´s and again in the 1950´s with a huge amount of different makes all vying for top spot; and I quote an American motor cycle journal, of the yearv 1956: `The Horex Imperator is the best motorcycle in the world. Only three other German bikes come even close´. `Indian´was, well, let´s not talk abouit it, ok? Harley Davidson was an ancient-age, throw-back to the 1920´s which was abandoned by the thousands by their American riders in 1944 in France because it overheated, and got stuck on any road surface other than asphalted. The H-D was an absolute disaster, ready to go bankrupt, when a total re-design by Porsche Design in Stuttgart saved them back in the late 1970´s. Pleaswe go to Wehrwolf GERMAN MOTORCYCLES to get an eye-ful! Gerry Frederics

So, you are saying that Horex has been in production all this time and that a new company hasn't been created out of whole cloth to bank on an old name? That's what I was asking. I didn't need another foolish ill-informed rant about Harley-Davidson.

Not to mention a grossly ill-informed rant. There's plenty to dis Harley on that's true, it's pretty silly to make stuff up.

It's an ok site, but some photos would help. All the brands I browsed just had text articles from some guy named Gerry Frederics. Oh...

Cool engine though. And supercharged. Woohoo!
THAT shows a great sense of humor, I love it!
