Good thing that Triumph doesn't waste $ on a GP effoert or else we'd have yet another 4 cylinder competing for the same market.

I said on Crash that the litre thing was good. It will open the field and the manufaturers will most certainly give the private teams the exact same motor as the corse teams. Everyone will be cranking near 250hp and the entire trick will be in chasis design. Bimota, MV, BMW, Moto Morini, Triumph and Kawasaki can all come to the dance again.

I think the reasoning is all money. Gone will be the days of real prototype one off engines that are unobtainable. Shoulda never got rid of the 500's.
