The primary complaint I've picked up on over the years on shaft drive is the weight. Not that I think a chain drive is high maintence, anyone can do it in 2 minutes even without a center stand.

Diddnt the magna have 2 cylinders per head? I know a few do now, but dont know how far back they started doing it.

Puch were (are) built by skilled Austrian Craftsman with all kinds of precision old world machine tools, they can do all sorts of stuff using Superior Skills and PFM Yamaha's on the other hand are built by Godless little yellow heathens in suits who chop each other up with Samurai swords led by totally hot women wearing socks and sandals (Ala "Kill Bill" vol's 1 & 2).......as if they're going to invent anything.

I had a Pugh moped back in the day black with gold mag wheels, I was pimpin. I'm sure it was 1 cylinder, but it was a 2 speed, thats when I knew I was a 2 wheel guy.

Aha, that was the very rare "Pooch Two." It's distinguishing characteristic was two heads on it's single cylinder.
