Woot! It's about time they upgraded the old Fazer. If they dispense with the vibes and add a little more power then this bike might actually sell.

Unfo, it appears Yamaha USA won't be bringing in the FZ8, at least not for 2010. The likely MSRP would be too much for the small demand for naked bikes in the U.S.

Nice lookin' modern UJM Yamaha. Also, nice job not bringing it here. We won't buy it. Of course, you knew that, you've done your market research.

Ho hum.

D@mn! You just had to go and rain on my parade, didn't you? I guess it's back to the 1198 for me, then.

Looks like it would make a great urban weapon. Too bad Americans will only buy the biggest displacement torture racks or road hogs they can find.

The frame looks almost identical to the newer FZ1. I like it, even though the US market never bite's when these bike's come around. A great example is the Z1000R, beautiful bike in person.

Looks dope as sh*t, I'm assuming it's an 800? perfect size for a local bike. Smoother than a 600, lighter and more managable than a 1000.....

In fact just to show what a creaky old grouch I am I'll say the 750~800 range is about the most useful engine size around and I think the manufacturers were foolish to get away from that.

It's actually a sleeved down FZ1, so it won't be any lighter.

Looks like it was made to fit in with European insurance classifications.
