185 hp. Hmm, isn't that what the stock BMW RR produces?

Ken- you're absolutely right. Why would ANYONE pay Erik for a "Spec" bike when you can roll into your BMW dealer and roll out with a "stock" bike at $15K that produces the same power? Sorry Erik.

Wonder how many will be raced in 2010 AMA. Its funny how everyone is so desperate to get a good mix of bikes on the grid. My question is what other racing orgs allow this bike. BSB? Austrailian Superbike? Who.

Nope, no wondering at all. Buell "went out of business" because the HD management decided so. Who knows (aside from HD) if they were profitable, had a workable business plan, etc. We could speculate all day, but because Buell was so tightly integrated with the rest of HD, only someone with access to internal accounting data could make an educated statement. Unlike MV, which stands alone (literally and figuratively) and can be evaluated independently.

If they were decently profitable, they wouldn't have been axed. Nobody kills profit, so the answers are pretty obvious. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why they got dumped.

To bad their track-only. Maybe some problem with government paperwork? It'd be nice to see erik building roadbikes again.
