I was once told by a co-worker long before the cell phone era that he really liked reading the newspaper in the car because he needed something to do while driving to work. He was serious too. I really need to know who the hell these people are talking to at 06:00 in the morning on their cell phone? I can't fathom why anyone would need to be on the phone at that time.

I use a bluetooth when I'm in the car. Since we run 24/7, at 0600 I'm tying in with the rest of the crew and seeing whats going on with the various plants. I do see a lot of blind mu-fu's blabbing away though. The law here is hands free devices req'd in a car and it's a primary stop if you're caught, the problem is about 99% of the a-holes don't get caught.

I ride a van to work in the winter. Some of things I've seen a 5 AM on the Interstate.. I think the guy doing a crossword puzzle was one of the "best". Doing makeup with the interior lights on in a snowstorm is another favorite.

I don't think about it or I'd never ride... or drive... or walk... what's on TV honey?

One of the Ft. Lauderdale radio stations used to do the "Crash and Burn Makeup Race" each year. They'd get a bunch of girls in their cars to drive through an obstacle course while applying lipstick, eye stuff, and my personal favorite: pantyhose. The one who completed all the tasks and had the lowest time won. They had to stop when a girl jabbed her eye with an eyeliner pen and sued them.
