They wish it could be Nasbike. They would take 1/10th of the NASCAR crowd. Hell, they would take 1/50th of the NASCAR crowd.

Apparently it is the Axis superbike class because buell was nowhere to be seen for years with a competitive motorcycle. Without the italians and japanese we would'nt have much racing going on period. Buell just entered the game this year with there sportbikes.

You missed my point. America has a long and revered tradition of stacking the deck at the races to ensure our bikes win, or are at least competitive. We cheat, and we're damn proud of it.

We Americans got to do something to even the odds. Look at the way those furriners started WWII as part of a nefarious plot to lose the war and eventually take over the industrial world while we pay for it all. You gotta really work hard to beat such clever competitors.

And cheating seems to work nicely. Eslick simply ran away from the field in the straights today in spite of being out-ridden in the corners and chicanes. He seems to enjoy the wins, but it's got to have a bit of a hollow feel to it; sort of like having the big "Steroid Asterick" next to your name in the record books. Hmm, Danny Asterlick...that works on a number of levels.
