George Hanson: [Drinking his Jim Beam] Here's the first of the day, fellas! To old D.H. Lawrence.
[He starts flapping one arm like a chicken] George Hanson: Neh! Neh! Neh! Fuh! Fuh! Fuh! Indians.

We went to watch that when I was like 12 or something, that was before movie ratings. You just paid you $1.00 and in you went.......
I always thought the Billy Bike that Dennis Hopper rode was way cooler than the Captain America POS Fonda had

Without that era's dope, the movie is useless. I'd rather watch "Vanishing Point" any day.

I heard how great the movie was so when I got out of the Navy I finally found it at a local revival theatre in Hollywood. So I watch these two HEROIN DEALERS act like total doofuses and finally show the utter stupidity of driving with long hair on choppers through the deep south in 1968. I don't really understand what's so great about it.
I'll take "Stone Cold" or "The Born Losers" any day over "Easy Rider." All three are entirely silly. The first two are entertaining and silly.

A lot of the attraction of the movie was knowning that there'd be a bunch of other kids there with dope. And girls with hip-huggers, and all that hippie cultural stuff. I only knew one guy with a Harley, and he would have been the working the shotgun.
