ouch... i think this one's gonna hurt. i'm sorry kid. but i am gonna have to take that cardbord out of you spokes. nothing is more pleasant to my ears than v-twin engine with a well orchestrated, calibrated set of mufflers on it. i'm not talking about what the the factory is forced to issue you. drag pipes on a 60 minus hp. bike sounds like sh#t! i think company's like vance and hines with their 2into 1 ,that looks like a 2 into 2 offer the middle ground for the two extremes on this subject.
it is up to us to encourage our fellow motorcyclists as to what is cool and is not cool. david lee roth said it well when he said. its not how good you do it. its how good you look doing it. cheers

All officer friendly has to do is look at the exhaust. No stamp and you're in violation, simple as that.
I think they're doing that in NYC. They wanted to even impound bikes that were parked on the street, not running, that did not have the proper stampage.

It's like these "No street racing" zones in industrial areas, you already have a posted speed limit, if you're exceeding that then you're speeding., 20mph over the posted limit is reckless driving....why f*ck around writing 300 laws to cover the same god dam* thing? Idiots I swear and we voted for these dildos?
You're right, but the exponential increase in open piped bikes over the last decade is largely to blame. I'm not excusing the lawmakers, you know I hate most of the bast@rds, but they've been getting loads of letters from p1ssed off voters demanding that they "do something". So they are "doing something". We've seen this coming for a while and I'm frankly surprised that it took this long. I blame the c***suckers with the open drag pipes and race muzzies more than I blame the legislators.

Once again S is right. It's gonna be warm this weekend. Plan on going to bed after 230 300 ish or go camping. God damn straight pipes. Not that the squid kids are any better around here though.

What did Pogo say again?
