"Teams raced for 24 hours, beginning at 10 a.m. PST on April 4 to 10 a.m. April 5, stopping only to swap riders, change batteries and perform other repairs."

What other reasons would there be to stop?

"“This event proved that electric technology can endure the same level of competition as their gas-powered counterparts,..."

Well, actually until you compete on the same course with the same restrictions against gasoline powered bikes you haven't actually proven that. It's good to see this "new" technology in action but this sort of hyperbole serves no one.

Ohm my!

Shocking news!

Shouldn't this be filed under 'Current' events?

And, when the guys went in for a new battery, instead of gas, were they refueling or revolting?

Hey-o! Be sure to tip your waitress! I'm here all week!
