THAT car was the "Dodge MP4" which was a rolling platform they used to develop engines and transmissions. I remember a Car and Driver article on it sometime after the movie came out - probably still have that magazine someplace. It was a "critical" tool that was used to develop the drivetrain for, of all things, the "LH" platform (Intrepid, Vision, LHS, Concorde).

Anyone remember the Lamborghini "Portofino" 4-dr Sedan? Quad scissor-wing doors, the shape later showed-up as somthing called "Dodge Intrepid".................

Stuff I read years ago. Plus some verification from an English Ford mechanic I went to school with.

But GM's marketing and development department is just as guilty as Chrysler/Dodge in screwing up a good model. The GTO, anyone?
The Holden, uh er GTO was an abomination.

Your forgetting the "trunk trailer." Absolutely brilliant idea, include a trailer for a performance vehicle if you wanted to go on a weekend trip.

The trailer was following the lead of custom/classic car buffs, who commonly have trailers made from the trunk of whatever their car is.

Not at a Holden. As a Pontiac, yeah - I'll agree. Same with the G8.

Bleh-City.

Sweet.

Myself, as far as cars go I figure that if I can't afford a MacLaren F1 then a Mini will have to do. No point in buying half-@ssed low-class "performance" cars like those weak-sister Acura dual turbo slugs or a pi$$ant Corvettte.
