What does GM have to do with the Charger?

That's what I thought, still the Challanger was a cool looking car too but nothing beats a '69 Charger for woody factor

The sentence originally looked different. There was a comment about other poorly planned and marketed models by Dodge and GM, but I restructured the sentence and didn't take out the GM part.

But GM's marketing and development department is just as guilty as Chrysler/Dodge in screwing up a good model. The GTO, anyone?

That looks a lot like the Dodge Turbo Avenger or whatever from the '80s movie "The Wraith" with Charlie Sheen. I'd rather drive that than what they put out the door for the Charger.

Another big joke was the stupid Prowler. While a neat looking car for some absolutely stupid reason Chrysler put a freaking V-6 in it which doomed it from the start. What were they smoking? Talk about letting bean counters screw something up. And it had an automatic tranny. Morons!

That one was also a 4-door, even in concept form. I remember when those pics first came out, reading an article with an interview of the chief ashtray-designer or something, and him lamenting about how Daimler wouldn't allow them to shorten-enough the wheelbase of the Mercedes E-Class platform the Charger/300 were to be built on in-order to have a "proper" coupe.

But, now that the "D" part of DC is gone, they actually did it for SEMA this year:
