Post Tire Conversion to metric

I have a 1971 Honda CL450. It takes a size 3.25 19 (front) and a 4.00 18 (rear). I am thinking about putting some dual-purpose tires on her, but I can't find any in that old size. Can anyone tell me what metric size I can use? And, is it a bad idea to put dual-purpose tires on a CL?

Those old CLs were not very good off-road bikes. They had upswept pipes more for looks than function. That said, if you are riding on gravel roads or decent cow trails your bike should be all right.

You can still get 18 and 19 inch tires for the bike. A motorcycle tire conversion chart is here. Google is your friend!
