Default v-star 650 fish tailing

I just bought a 2000 yamaha v-star 650 classic. Going from a pair of sportbikes and two vulcan 1500's it is quite the odd step. My question is about the bike fish tailing under moderate to heavy acceleration. The back end seems to wiggle around a little bit under the torque the engine produces. In my other cruisers this wasn't as big a deal because they were quite a bit heavier. I'm just trying to find out if this is normal or something I should get looked at.

There's your mistake - right after landin' this'n, you shoulda clubbed it over the head five or six times - THAT'LL stop that fishtailin'...........

That bike doesn't produce enough power to bend anything on that bike. Something is loose. Wheel bearings, swingarm mount, axel. Did you check these things?

Oil on the tire, low tire pressure are other things to look at.

A loose axle will do it too. Better inspect now!

Check to see if someone filled up the rear tire with root beer. Also, look for strange alien symbols on the tire that might be point to an anti-gravity device somewhere in the tire carcass.

I'm gonna say wheel bearings (Sachi) or wheel alignment.
