Default Wiring Problem

Hello I’m new to all this and I can't seem to find anything to help me with my problem. Hopefully someone can help me. I have a 1984 kawi kdx200 could someone please tell me what wires go from the stator to the cdi ignition then to the coil. Color to color and what type of connections as far as a spade or what not and how many grounds to the coil. Or tell me a web site to get the info or diagrams. Please someone help me. I would really like to get it running so I can ride my bike.

The black wire goes into the top coil. All the other wires get cut off with a pair of dikes (maggie and carol) and taped off with black tape. Lots of it. You have some black tape, right? Good, that's all you'll need.

One of these might help:

Used Kawasaki KDX200-A2 1984 Factory Owners & Service Manual U99920-1252-01

Thirty bucks is a BARGAIN - it'll cost you two-to-three times that from the Dealer.

Start where the wires come out of the engine case and follow them to the coil, then from the coil to ground. This is pure grunt work here, you need to sit yourself down and get your hands dirty.

I think Cuddy's idea of getting a pair of dykes to do the job is much better than getting all dirty yourself.
