I have a 1991 FLTC with evolution engine. I need to know how to check the transmission fluid, where the drain plug is located, and where to add fluid. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also need to know how to check the primary fluid and how often should I change it. Thanks Kat

Kat,
You really need to find the Owners's manual. And then, maybe the Service Manual. The following is based on my '88. IIRC, the tranny level was checked with the dipstick which is attached to the bottom of the hollow socket "screw" on the right side of the bike. I don't remember if the level was checked with the bike on the sidestand or upright. I think the tranny was drained though a plug in the bottom of the housing. The primary oil level is checked, and more added through the oblong "window" under the shift lever. It is drained through the pipe plug under the big round cover.
