So, I put an 18AH Shorai lithium battery in the Tiger1050 last year. The bike's been parked and not started since Thanksgiving. I went out a couple of weeks ago to start it. But it cranked about 4 revs and died. I put it on a charger. After a couple of days I tried it again but the results were the same.

So, operating on the principle "if all else fails follow the directions" I did some research and discovered the trick. Lithium batteries require some warm up. So I turned the ignition on and waited 30 seconds and it fired right up.

So far so good with the battery. We'll see if it has double the life of the lead/acid type. The Tiger is hard on those and they only last about 2 years.

Can you use a regular 2 amp charger with that battery?
