I had some store credit in the register at the local BMW dealer after my return of the fancy schmancy helmets. I've got a garage full of riding gear and really didn't need anything new.

So, I went for a WANT. I ordered up the Remus slipons for the K1600. I installed them today. According to dyno charts you pick up about 3-4 hp across the board, not just in the upper ranges and they are about 22 lbs lighter than the stock cans.

The real reason is the SOUND. Holy Mother of God! I first fired them up with the baffles in. They offered a nice deep tone compared to the higher, chain saw-like tone of the stockers. Under throttle it sounded so bada$$, like a fancy old race car. At part throttle, it actually seemed quieter than stock.

Then I took the baffles out. WOW! It is just incredible. It might be a bit much for a long tour but fun for short trips.
