Im new here, so if this is not the right place to post this I apologize. But, I have a race comming up and I have been practicing fairly hard for it, and i havent been able to nail the standing up and shifting. I can get the clutch all the way in nice and quick, but its like I have to bring my whole foot up and off the peg to get the shifter up enough to change gears. Sometimes i even miss a gear. So, today after being a bit fed up with this, I re adjusted the shifter further down so that is it clearing the frame to down shift, but nice and low to get it high enough standing up to shift it. I didnt get a chance to try that it out after that today... got to dark. Is there any sort of technique Im missing here? also... the shifter has some play in it that i never noticed before, just a little bit nothing major, but is that ok? Thanks for taking the time to read this
