ok i want to squeeze the most power out of a 250cc 4 stroke for it to be able to beat a 500cc 4 stroke that has 1 size bigger jets. can anyone give advice

Sounds like the old VW commercial for the scirocco I think. "There are two ways to make a vw faster (cut to them dropping a beetle out of a plane) or to build a new VW."
I think the first option will work best in your quest. |

just to get something strait i'm talking about a 250cc 4 stroke engine on a motorcycle. what i want is some input on how to boost the power in the engine such as; push rods, cam shaft, exhaust. please some helpful advice nothing about cars

We know what you are asking. It's kind of a silly question. You can do all that stuff, but if the 500 is a similar motor, it'll still beat the 250.

Well, unless it's the most-loved, most-modified, most-sold 250 (or any size bike, for that matter) in the WORLD, with an absolutely ENORMOUS aftermarket, you're pretty-much stuck at Doodley-Squat you can do with it.
But, if Money-Is-No-Object, you can do a couple of things. #1: Overbore. The only replacement for displacement is..... More Displacement. #2: Oversize valves. Get more IN, you'll get more OUT of it. #3: Carbs, porting, cams. Got the above? You'll need modifications/replacement to these to get the most out of it. #4: EVERYBODY'S Favourite happy-time-gas; Nitrous Oxide (Nawz, Yo.) #5: Remember #1 above? Skip that, if you've got BOOST. #6: A street-sweeper and Oil-Dry; To follow-along in your trail, and pick up the pieces when the engine destroys itself.
