New here. I need to know how to adjust the clutch on a 1981 XL 250S

I know little about trannys. This bike has about 1500 miles on it. It is a 1981 XL250 S. i was riding and the clutch went. manage to get home and opened it up and did not see anything niether was i able to be sure how it worked. put it back together and had some clutch. I could start in gear with the cluth engaged but pushing there is some resistence Not sure if that is how it should be or if that tells you something.

Did some internet checks and saw lots of the same about adjusting the clutch so i got back in it and it does not seeem to be built like the info says. Not a distinguishable lock nut or adjuster bolt.

Cannot find any pics or info specific to this bike. Anyone have any help??
