Default painting tips please

so i got this ninja, and it has a white seat, so the original owner thought it would be smart to paint the bottom fairing white, and the mirrors white. having white mirrors made the bike look like it has ears and bad in general, so i sanded the white off back to black, which has helped but now i'm not sure about the bottom fairing, i was going to paint it black like it was originally, and letter 500R in white to tie in with the seat, but now that its got the mirrors sanded i'm tempted to keep it white and letter it in black.

anyways just to get some tips from you guys, when i go about lettering it, anyone got some suggestions to avoid seeping under the stickers that i would use for the 500R, or types of paint.

any tips would be great!

To avoid seeping use many light coats of paint rather than a couple of heavy ones. If you use a spray gun minimize the paint reduction. Try to paint at the lowest temperature the paint is recommended for.
