Hello all this is my first motorcycle. If I let it run on the side stand it leaks oil just behind the alt cover. and just in front of the sprocket cover. but if it is on the center stand it does not seem to leak. Does anyone have any idea if it could be becouse it over full??? I beleave it is over full. I have attached a photo of the dip stick when on center stand and I was not running.

Drain the excess oil and see if it still leaks. Draining it in a controled environment is a lot easier then cleaning it all off the bike.

Cannot see your picture of the oil-register device, but if it is a "screw-in" type dipstick, the oil should be checked with the bike vertical (not on sidestand or center-stand); remove it, wipe the dipstick, then dip it but do not thread it in - oil should be between the two holes, notches, lines, or inside any "hash marks" on the stick (whichever your register has) - when cold.
For motos, it is typically 10-ounces to one-third quart from the bottom-mark to the top.
