Default top end gasket fits???

I have a 1983 Honda Magna VF750 onto which I want to install 1986 Magna 700 heads (for the improved engineered cam shaft installations!).
Will the '83 top end gasket kit, especially the valve stem seals, fit the '86 model???? Cheers, Brian w/Magna

I would check on bike bandit and see if the part numbers are the same for both gasket sets. I think you will lose power if you change the heads.

Make that two votes for "This sounds like a bad idea".

Small, subtle differences can cause BIG problems......like causing the pistons to contact the valves.

If the heads really are that much different, likely that pistons and cams were different too.

This is a big gamble and a lot of work just chasing an unknown performance increase.
