Default Solutions for Electrical System Malfunctions

If a motorcycle suddenly stops while moving, it’s better to check whether the gas is used up or not; if not, the electrical system of the motorcycle may have some problems. For example, the emergency flameout switch, the ignition coils or trigger coils is ill-functioned. For the emergency switch (some motorcycles are equipped with), the first step is to find out the disconnections not caused by humans, and then switch it to “on” position, the motor will probably move again. For the ignition coil problem, check each ignition joints if they become loose and ill-functioned, and clear the grease on them, this will probably be effective. Best solution for trigger coil problem is to replace it with a new one.

The service manual is a really good tool to diagnose an electrical issue.
