Hi, ive got a gs550 which ive been rebuilding, when ive started her up she's chucking out white smoke arfter about 20 min it clears. started her up a couple of days later and again she's chucking out white smoke again. i got the engine in bits and had to rebuild it, ive put new gaskets and valve seals on. can anyone suggest where to start.

Re-torque the head. If that doesn't quit it, pull the head and check surfaces for flatness. Lap if necessary. Paint the cylinder/head mating surface with aluminium spraypaint before the next reassembly.
